LAST EVENT AT TOURNEY. (By T«U*graph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 2S. Tn one of the finesl exhibitions of croquet ever stum in the event Mrs C. Watkins ("Hastings') beat Mrs M. Stallat'd (Christchurch) in the final of the New Zealand women's singles championship. The scores were 5—25, 24—14, 2(1 — IS. The match was the sole remaining game of the Dominion tourney and in spite of the inclement weather it attracted a large gallery to the United Club’s lawn, where for over five hours the players waged a brilliant battle of croquet as it should be played,
