RAZORS BEFORE A DINNER. INCIDENTS OF A SHIPWRECK. Lisbon shopkeepers profited from the wreck of the motor liner Highland Hope. In the end they dined, unshaven, in a hotel bedroom. Toothbrushes. combs. ' powder 'and face cream were bought in great quanti-' ties. Two of the rescued French girls were walking about a. large store in pyjamas and bathing towels. They were unable to save even tlmir liandII lags. “We are returning to Montevideo.” they said, “and if the steami ship agency here does not supply us with outfits, we shall go back like this.” One of the young English passengers, Air Eric H. Quick, said: “I was on my way to Rio de Janeiro to get married. All my belongings, including wedding presents, are now probably at the bottom of the sea. T tried to get back to my cabin, but the violent rocking of the ship humped me against the walls, and T was forced to return to the deck.”
