Melbourne a few days ago stated that the yacht Oimara was to leave- on Saturday for New Zealand, from where she •would race the New Zealand yacht Restless across the Tasman is would appear from information obtainable from Wellington yachtsmen that Mr. J. McLean, owner of the Restless, has no intention of accepting the challenge. Mr. McLean left with the Restless a short time ago for the Marlborough Sounds and intends to stay there until Easter. , Ever since the race was suggested Mr. McLean, it is stated, has persistently denied that he has made any arrangements to cross.
