The radio operator of the Southern Cross on its world-famous fight across the Pacific and Tasman oceans, Mr T. H. Me Will iains, is visiting Auckland with his bride, formerly Miss Marjorie Winifred Mair, of Huntervlle. The youim couple were married in the Church ol St. John the Baptist. Tluntcrville. on December 30.

Mrs McWilliams is the daughter of Mi S. A. IT. Mair, engineer to the llnngitikei County Council. 'She met her husband four years ago anil had a (light in the Southern Cross when the airmen were in Blenheim. ‘•I am the last of the original crew to ha married,” remarked Mr McWilliams yesterday. “First it was Lichfield and Ulm, then Smith, and now, onlv a few days later, me.” Asked whether he intended making another long flight Mr McWilliams replied in the negative. “I would like a hit more adventure, but now I am married I suppose it is time I settled down.” lie said. “T have done a little dual flving since I came hack from England and I hone to do some solo flving before long, but, as I do not possess a pilot’s license, it will he nccessarv for me to take the course of instruction for an A license. I am already a flying member of the Feilding Aero Club.”
