OIL WELLS REPORT

The Taranaki oil wells report states that the Waitangi No. 1 well has been drilled to 373 feet in hard sandy shale, with limestone bands. A loj inch diameter casing was sunk to 308 feet and cemented. Operations were resumed to-day.
