OBITUARY.
MRS. M. KELLY. One of the earliest of the pioneer settlers of Te Roti , Mrs. Mary Kelly, wife of Mr. Michael Kelly, died peacefully this morning at the age of 76 years. She was in her usual good health yesterday hut passed away suddenly and peacefully early this morning. With her husband she settled on the Skeet Road over fifty years ago. They took up a bush section and by dint of hard and resolute work converted it into a smiling homestead. Tiny bore cheerfully the hardships inrUenvu to life in the early days. Mrs. Kelly was held in high esteem amongst bar many friends, as a good .eiplibour and one who was ever ready to help her fellow settlers. She leaves, to mourn their loss, her husband and family of two girls, both living on the farm, and five sons, of whom, one is working on the farm, two are setled close in the neighbourhood, one at Stratford and one abroad. To them will go out sincere sympathy from many friends in and around the district. The funeral will leave the Catholic Church, Hawera, at 11 a.m. on Monday after a Requiem Mass, for the Hawera Cemetery.
