MEETING OF COMMITTEE
The monthly meeting of the Tawhiti School Committee was held °n lnebctay evening and was attended bj Me • ■ Geo. Dick (chairman), Duncan Castle, Coad, McDonald, Thrush, Barltrop and the headmaster (Mr. A. E. Stone, Advice was received from the laiajiaki Education Board refunding overpaid money for the heating system; also that the capitation could not be . / advanced. . V-< Arrangements were left to the V ground committee lor attention to tne playgrounds during the Christmas hoh- ' The headmaster reported the roll number as 207 with an average attendance of 180. The board s doctors had made their annual' visit and given the school a clean sheet. Pupils were still well supoprting the savings bank accounts opened at the school.
