During the discussion, Lord .Salisbury urged that the continuance of the Dyestuffs Act was vital to the research work done by dye-makers. Lord Parmoor said that the Government's deisire that the measure should lapse was glue to the fact that it operated to the (advantage of the textile industry. ’ He added that dye-makers had [established tlieir industry in the last 10 years, and were now in a position to -face, world competition successfully.
