SEATS FOR. INDIANS. NAVAL DISPLAY INCIDENT. LONDON. Nov. 12. How one of the Empire’s minor problems was .solved bv the Navy was told to-dav by the First Lord of the Admiri'tv. Alr. A. V. Alexander. A number of Indian visitors went to the naval demonstration held for the delegates to the Imperial Conference. It was not so difficult to arrange to supply them with special food, hut it was then discovered that the Nelson’s chairs were leathercovered 1 and Hindus cannot sit on the skins' of the sacred cow. The ship was scoured for woodensented chairs, and the officers breathed ■i sigh of relief when enough were collected .
