PERSONAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) ill's. AV. Carrington is visiting Okakune for the wedding of her brother, Mr. J. Francis. Miss It.' Swadling is spending a holi’•re in Wellington. Mr. and Mre. Paul of New Plymouth, are the guests of Mrs. J. Dawson. . . . Miss E. Foster, of Himitangi, is staying with Mrs. R. Harding. Mr. H. J. Mills is in Auckland, where he has gone to meet his parents, who are returning from England. Mrs. Orr, of Stratford, is staying with Mrs, I. E. Evans.
FOREIGN MISSION SOCIAL. A social under the auspices of the Wesley Gui’id and in aid of the Methodist foreign mission was held on Tuesday evening. The .function took place at "the residence of Airs. E. J. Webby, Kuri Street, and was very well attended 50 guests being present. During the evening a splendid musical programme was given, items being contributed as follow : Duets by Air. P. Harding and, Aliiss AI. Harding, Alessrs llodie and Hill; Miss B. and Air. J. Tonkin; songs by Aliss AI. Guy andl Air. AV. Hey; piano duet by Misses iVllvira Harding and Alarney AA T dbby. Two competitions were also carried out. the ladies’ -prizes in each being annexed by Aliss Betty Cossum, whilst the gent’s prizes went to Air. Jack Tonkin and Air. A\ r . Hey. A, delightful supper was provided by •tie hostess. Airs. E. J. AVebby.
