S PROGRESS OF TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Oct. 28. The Dominion golf tournament was continued this morning, when the second rounds of the amateurs and professional cnampion snips were 1 played. The weather was rather more favourable, although the sky was cloudy. There was a marked absence of wind, and the tees were a little soft in places, but the course was in good order. , In the second round of the professional championship, over the first 18 holes. Murray is one up on Shaw, McIntosh two up on Bell, Blair two up on Douglas. Murray is playing a solid game and has Shaw doing his best. Shaw went round in 75 and Murray in 74. Bell led Mclntosh right to the 16th'hole, where the match was squared. The latter won the last two holes. Good figures gave Blair an early advantage in his match with Moss and an even game followed, Blair being, two up at the end of the round. Rutter, playing a strong game, did the round in 73. Douglas was weak and plainly is not the Douglas of old. In the amateur championship, over the first 18 holes, second round, _ L. ■Seifert, junr., is two up on Collins, Cathro six up on Ross, H. Black one up on Wright. Reilly one nn on Si me. A. Duncan two up on Silk, M. Duncan and J. T/. Black all square, Wagg one up on Bidwell, Horton one up on Quin.
