AN OUTSTANDING SHOW
Tlhe •annual show of the Eltham Hortieulutural Society, which opened so uatisfactorily yesterday afternoon, w-as continued in the evening at the Town Hall and attracted! a large crowd of interested spectators. The display Ml round was good, but the daffodils weie the theme of endless admiration and formed a display unexcelled anywhere in New Zealand. The. society has every reason to he proud of its work and ol the support accorded it, especially as the members generally were in excess of those of last year. Keen rivalry was shown both ni cp< n and amateur classes of daffodils, for which are awarded two fine trophies, the Cooper Cup and the Muir Cup. These were won respectively by Mr. Robert Gibson (Manana) and Mr. It. Lewis. The championship challenge bowl, redonated bv Mr. A. Clirystal, for the best daffodil bloom, was won by Jf. Lewis. The trophy for the best long trumpet was also won by Itr. Lewis. R ev . tV. V. Avery won the. trophy for the best bloom other than a long trumpet.
