REVOLVER DUEL
FATAL DISPUTE IN LOCKED ROOM
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) NEW YORK, Sept. 23.
At Baltimore, Maxwell Byers, president of the Westland Maryland Railway. and D. G. Gray, vice-president, had a revolver dudi in the Standard Oil Building. The police said the pair apparently locked themselves in the president’s' office and shot it out. The cause of the dispute is unknown. Crowds outside held up the traffic. Police broke into the room and found Byers dead, with three wounds, one through the heart. A pistol was beside Gray, who was shot in the back and chest and badly wounded.
