Much local interest is being taken in the “street mart’’ to be held in Kaponga to-morrow in aid of the funds of the Plunket Society. The Okaiawa Maori Tennis Club is making great strides and enrolling many more members. The committee has put- down one new lawn on the section opposite Barclay’s store and intends laying down another. In order to- help the funds a grand fancy dress dance will be held in the Okaiawa Hall on Tuesday next, September 23, and it is hoped the results will be as satisfactory as those attending the dance held some time ago. Under the ceneral direction of the bon. secretary, Mr It. J. Phillips, they have marie very complete arrangements, including the engagement of the wellknown Rat-ana Jazz Band. Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure. Fo: Coughs and Golds—never fails! —Advt.
