ORATORIO PERFORMANCE
‘THM CREATION.”
Special arrangements have been made by the Hawera Methodist Choir, under Mr H. C. A. F ox, with a selected orchestra, to give a grand performance of the great oratorio, “The Creation ” (Haydn), in the Grand Theatre, on Tuesday, October 7. The choir lias been augmented and the rehearsals prove that the performance will be a great event in the history of music in Hawera. The soloists will be Miss Myra Sawyer (Wellington) soprano, Mr W. 1,. Hay (New Plymouth) tenor, and Mr H. Ackroyd (1-Ta.wera) bass. Seats may be booked at Dixon’s Music Warehouse, and it is certain there will be a keen demand for them.
