PATEA BOROUGH BILL
AMENDMENT RY COMMITTEE
(By Telegraph—Special to “The Star.") WELLINGTON, Sept. 4.
The Local Bills Committee has recommended that the Patea Borough Council Empowering Bill be allowed to proceed. It has made a large number of verbal amendments and many alterations in the schedules of areas which the council may sell or lease, but no alteration appears to limit the powers sought in the pleasure to more effectively deal with the borough reserves.
