SYDNEY. Sept. 3. Two golfers to-day discovered the dead bodies of George Bryant, aged 00, and his wife aged 47, on the fourth green at Moore Park Golf Links. There were bullet wounds in the right temples, death having occurred at least ten hours previously. There was a revolver in the man’s hand.
The. police ascertained that the couple were absolutely destitute. Mrs. Bryant who was a Belgian, married Bryant, while he was soldiering at the. war. She told friends yesterday she was in straightened circumstances and cried Utterly.
The police are of opinion there was a death pact. The couple were most devoted and there was no sign of a struggle. There was only a threepenny p ; ee? in the man’s nocket.
