DAVIS CUP CONTEST

That drastic changes in the* policy of the Davis Cup competition arc under consideration is indicated by American tennis officials. The president of the United States Lawn Tennis Association, Air Eouis Bailey, said lie would advocate that next year’s quest of the cup should be undertaken without the long months of arduous preparation now involved. Air Joseph Wear, chairman of the Davis Cup Committee', said that when at last the United States succeeded in recovering the trophy lie favoured holding a competition every two years, instead of annually.
