ARGENTINE EXHIBITION PRINCE’S MISSION STEPS TO EXTEND MARKETS (British Official Wireless.) THTOBY, Aug. .1. Arrangements are in hand for 'the Prince c.f Wales’ visit to Argentina and Brazil in the spring of next year. The main purpose of the visit is to enable the Prince to tabe part in the opening of the British Empire trade exhibition, Which will be held at Buenos Aires for about six weeks from March 14. . It is five years since the Prince, when homeward bound from South Africa, made a tour of the Argentine and other South, American, States. The Printed has since taken a keen interest in the development of trade relations with Latin American countries, and following his visit an Anglo-South American Association lias ‘keen foimed to further this object. Another step to extend British markets in 'South America .was, taken by,the appointment by the Board of 'Trade of the economic mission of industrialists headed by Viscount d’Albernon, which recently visited Argentina and Brazil. British manufacturers are displaying keen interest in, next year's exhibition and application for spnc-e in the trade sections has necessitated the provision I of more, than double the covered space ' originally designed. The grounds and buildings cower more than 25 acres, but it will be difficult to accommodate aSI j who wish to participate. Owing to| the greatly increased importance now assumed by the exhibition the British Governmentt has decided to treble the sum to be expended on its official participation in the ■exhibition, and a considerable part of the impressive British Government exhibits now being shoivvn in 'the Antwerp exhibition will be displayed at Buenos Aires.
