THEFT DENIED
POST OFFICE MONEY. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 5. Herbert Ormond Lawrence, aged 30, a labourer, appeared on remand before Mr E D Moislev, S.M., charged with the theft of £BO from the Adidngton Post Office. Witnesses alleged that accused, while m the post office on busi-nos-s reached over the counter i\ hue the clerk was busy and snatched the money, bolting down the street. He wfi-s jvrirested after a chase, the money heiincr found in a hedge. He pleaded not guilty and was committed" for trial.
