Unprecedented * scenes occurred at the Stadium when the wrestlers Ted Thyo and Billy Edwards fought madly after the referee (Mr Tom Banner) (had been hicked unconscious. Finally recovering somewhat-, the referee crawled alongside the men on the mat and crowned Thy© winner. He then left the ring. Actually it was Thye’s foot that caused the trouble. While pandemonium reigned, Thyo also left the ring. and Edwards, in tears, appealed to the crowd. Scenes of the wildest disorder followed, until after ten minutes Thyo returned and the match was continued with another wrestler (Tom Enrich) as referee. The contest eventually ended m a draw -on a fall to each.
