Italy and till* Soviet have signed' a wmniereiul treaty, accordin|g to “The l'inies' " Home correspondent. The terms have not been published yet, so it is impossible! to say whether the document goes beyond the tong series 'of commercial agreements with Germany which were signed recently. The treaty, however, marks the beginning of more intense economic collaboration between Italy and the Soviet Government. The announcement followed a cordial meeting between Signor Mussolini and the Soviet Commisar. The newspapers are of opinion that the treaty‘will enable Italy to purchase more cheaply petrol, coal and other minerals at present imported from distant markets.
