GUILD FORMED IN AUCKLAND
DISAPPROVAL ALSO EXPRESSED

The Auckland branch of the new Post and Telegraph Officers’ Guild was formed last evening at a. meeting stated to have been attended by 95 executive officers. At the same time a large meeting was held elsewhere, convened by the Auckland section of the P. and T. Employees’ Association, passed a unanimous resolution disapproving of the guild movement and affirming continued loyalty to the present organisation. At, the guild meeting nil sections of the service were represented, especially district postmasters.

OPINIONS IN NELSON.
NELSON, July 29. At a largely-attended meeting of the Nelson section of the P. and T. Employees’ Association the rank and file officers present carried the following resolution: “That this meeting considers the formation of the proposed P. and T. Officers’ Guild unwarranted.” However, there was no strong objection to the formation of a guild, and the opinion was expressed that no matter how many resolutions were passed bv the associations the guild would still be formed.
The meeting also carried the following resolution : “That this section resents tampering with notes forwarded for publication in the “Katipo” of Jnlv 20, and reouests to he furnished with an explanation.”
