WEDDING

J ’OTTS—CABMIOHAEIL. . ■ St. John’s Presbyterian (Jliureh, llawera, was- the scene- of a quiet, but pretty wedding on Saturday, July 19, when Grace Evelyn Carmichael, daughter of Mrs S. Blake anill the late Mr A. Carmichael, of Ivakaraineil. was married to Matthew Sheddon Potts, of Manaia. The church was, beautifully decorated by the friends of the bride. The bride wore a- parchment georgette frock, with long sleeves andl a peaked skirt, and her veil, of the samel shade, was held in place by a- coronet- of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white and pink spring flowers, with maidenhair fern andl white streamer ribbons. Miss Lynda Grant, of New Plymouth, attended the bride, ami wore a powder blue georgette frock with hat to match, •Her bouquet was ■ol cream and blue flowers and! asparagus fern. Mr Jock Potts attended his brother as best man, and Rev. B. F„ Evans was the officiating minister. Alter the ceremony the relatives and intimate friends of the bride and bridegroom were received by Mrs S. Blake in the Savoy lounge, whore the wedding breakfast was held. Mrs S. lilake wore navy blue beaut satin frock, trimmed | with lawn anil/ black coat and hat. ahd carried a dainty nosy ol autumn tinted 1 flowers. Later the happy couple left by ear on their honeymoon, the bride wearing navy blue beaut satin frock, musquash fur coat and nigger brown hat t with shoes and stockings to tone.
