TWINS TWICE, TRIPLETS ONCE
HUSBAND LOSES HIS SMILE. The most- bewildered man in .Kngjiand to-day is Air Georg© Chapman, a young Birmingham engineer, who recently returned to his country after spending several years in America. Five years ago, when lie was in Xew York, Mr Chapman married an, American girl. To-day he has ft family of seven children—five girls and two boys! And this iis how this, unique record has come about. First. Airs Chapman presented him with twins, two bouncing -baby boys. The happy father proudly admitted to his friends that- lie was a subject for congratulation. The next time- triplets—all girls—arrived. When his friends came along to congratulate him. Air Chapimlan’s smile was not- so expansive-. Then came the third 1 shock —twins again and both girls! Mr Chapman began to' feel that it- was getting beyoncli a. joke-. Now the Chap-mans are expecting ai fourth visit from the stork and Air 1 . Chapman is wondering if fate will one© again be so extraordinarily generous to him. “T didn’t mind the first set of twins, lie told an interviewer “but the- trip--I,lets were a bit of a shock. "When the next set of twins cam© along—well! W© thought the ioke- was getting a- bit worn out.” A curious feature about Air and Airs Channin-n’s seven children is that all liver© born with blue eves and fair hair. “W’-rc -really awfully proud of them all] and we wouldn’t do- without them W' anything.” said Airs Chapman. “Thev haven’t been a bit of trouble, and have had ve-rv little* illness. “But it’s a whole-time job looking a ft-p’" them. T haven’t much time for anything dl.se.”
