Commander Southby (Con.) eonsidered that the Bill should he delayed until after the forthcoming Imperial Conference. r< Mr. Baldwin asked whether the Government had any assurance lrom the Dominions, including the Irish J-ree State, that they would give ohect to the legislation necessary to carry out the terms of the Bill. ■ ~ Mr. A. V. Alexander. First Lord ot the Admiralty, .said the Government had had indications from all the Dominions that were represented at the conference that: they intended hilly lo recognise the London Naval Treaty. The Government had no doubt that the Dominions would pass the. necessary legislation to carry out then obligations. If there wa.s any doubt it could he settled at tile Imperial Conference, hut there was no reason why the House of Commons should delay till then. . .. The Bill passed the- second reading.
