TEMPORARY FUSE
s' Many American cars ha\o incorporated in the lighting circuit the iuse enclosed in a glass tube with metal caps at each end for making the contracts. An owner who has had the misfortune to have one of these fuses blow without a spare aboard, can extricate himself from an awkward predicament in a simple way by the iallowing temporary repair. Remove the fuse and replace the melted internal wire by a thin external wrapping of tinfoil, such as may be found in cigarette cartons or on sweetmeats. Sio obviate further risk of the term wary fuse melting, it will often bo found helpful not to rise the headlights, carrying on, if possiole, with the sidelights only, as by this means tlie current load imposed on the fuse is considerably lightened.
