PARTIES ACTIVE

CAUCUS MEETINGS HELD. c ßy Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 25. A caucus of the Reform Party is being held to-day. This morning it discussed the coming session, and consideration was given to the attitude the party should adopt, but at the luncheon adjournment no indication was given of the nature of any decisions reached. A motion was passed expressing sympathy with Sir Joseph Ward in his illness and expressing the party’s best wishes.

Motions of sympathy were also carried in reference to Sir Maui Pomare and Sir George Hunter, who were prevented by illness from attending the caucus.

All members of the party were either present or accounted for. The United Party also met in caucus this morning, but had! nothing to report at lunch time. The meeting continues this afternoon.

The Labour Party meets this week probably on Friday.
