Tlie grass track, througu last night's rain, was sodden, biit was not dennitely heavy. Ngawniiie ran three furlongs well out on the grass in 42,sec. Tent-calf finished her round by coming home the last two furlongs lyCopey and Airtight worked at threequarter paoei on the sand over a couple or rounus.
Prince Desmond sprinted two furlongs m 27see.
banhridge ran the last two furlongs of bis woi-k in 28. sec. comfortably. Son o’ Mine did two rounds or tile sand, -track at a. good three-quarter pace.
Meiulip and Mount Shannon were companions over five furlongs rilii in 1.10 comfortably. The Warden occupied oosec. over four furlongs without being, chased out. Valpre and hour Roods ran the hist three furlongs of their work in 43see. Orazone finished in front of Coma over five furlongs compassed in 1.101-5. J. Fryer gave Archibald useful halfpace work on the sand. Gcal bag beat Araukuku over five furlongs by half-a-length in 1.9. Tikimai (Conway) jumped splendidly in a round of the schooling hurdles. The steeplechaser Alamos went a working gallop on the sand over a mile, hitting out in good style. Gowanlea, Kiosk, and An bridge performed sitiartly by getting to the end of their half-mile in 52 l-ssec. Double Red and a. number of two-vear-olds were out exercising.
Calamine sprinted three furlongs down the back. Joke form finished a length in front of Biforte over four furlongs run in 53 \ sec. just John and Waitaunalia accomplished useful pace- work.
