The steeplechaser Alamos went a working gallop on the sand over a mile, hitting out in good style. Gowanlea, Kiosk, and An bridge performed sitiartly by getting to the end of their half-mile in 52 l-ssec. Double Red and a. number of two-vear-olds were out exercising.

Calamine sprinted three furlongs down the back. Joke form finished a length in front of Biforte over four furlongs run in 53 \ sec. just John and Waitaunalia accomplished useful pace- work.
