MANGAMINGI.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

A most successful danee was held in the hall on AA’ednesday last for funds m aid, of the local hall. The hall was decorated with coloured streamers and ferns, and the. stage was done with ferns and chrysanthemums, and reflected great credit on the l energetic committee. The music was. supplied by Air and Airs Sait in their usual good style. Extras were played by Messrs Hickey and Boddie and the supper was supplied by the local ladies and was much appreciated by all. Messrs Brown acted as AL’sC. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Air AVa.Llaee Boddie and Aliss Alay Alartm, and a lucky spot dance by Air and -Mrs Bluett (Eltham). Dancing was kept up until an early hour, PERSONAL. Afr and Airs Hardwick Smith have returned after spending a holiday in the north. Miss' McCarthy) is /spending a holiday in the valley. Aliss Hopkins, has been spending a holiday with Airs G-. H. Brown, has returned to Wellington.
