WIDEN!NG OPPORTUNITIES. CANADIAN REMIT TO CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph—l J ress Association.) MONTREAL, May 15. For presentation to tlie Federation of Chambers of Commerce, of the British Em pi re in London this month, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, lias adopted resolutions leading toward the stimulation and widening of industrial and trade opportunities within the Empire and recommending that at. the forthcoming Imperial Economic Conference ’in the- autumn the Government shou-ld appoint a commission to inquire into Empire resources, markets, and oth-cr factors entering' into Empire trade ; also, that the commission should be retained as a permanent advisory body.
Other resolutions recommend more frequent visits to the Dominions of businessmen of consequence throughout the Fan pi re, placing before members information concerning opportunities for the establishment of branch industries and warehouses, opportunities for. n .Treat, flow o.f capital into Public utilities and into .the market of the. respective Empire units, and for investment m plant and equipment lor lndustnal anil commerei at purposes.
