The weather was fine for the opening of the second day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s winter meeting, and the track was softened by overnight rain. Heavy rain commenced to fall just before the third race.- The attendance was large, those: present including members of the British Rugby team, as the guests of the Jockey Club.
