ANNUAL FLOWER; SHOW. ENTRIES' CLOSE ON TUESDAY. Prospects for the autumn flower show to be held under the auspices of tlie Hawera Presbyterian Church on Thursday next are of the' best. The favourable weather lias created a wealth or blooms and the display in every section is confidently expected to be one of the best yet staged by the committee. The schedule, under the control of tlie executive and the hon. secretaries —M iss J. Buchanan and Mr,s A. Thomson —has been carefully revised and includes classes for every section of autumn blooms, decorative, pot plants,' fruit and vegetables. There are a. number of handsome ballenge trophies for competition, including the P.W.M.U. silver bowl, a points prize in general entries, the Blair and Sellar Cup for points in decorative classes, and Mrs Thomson’s enp for the children’s decorative section.
The judges will he Mr O. Goodson for chrysanthemums, cut, flowers, pot plants, fruit and vegetables, and Mrs A. ‘S-nratt, and Mis.s H. Wilson (Eltbam) for decorative sections. The hon. secretaries or any of the committee will be pleased to give any information desired.
