LAUDER IN AMERICA
SOME VIEWS ON NEW ZEALAND. (United Press Association--By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) NEW YORK, April 15. Sir Harry Lauder arrived with much to say of nis 60,000-milc world tour, but he had most to say of New Zealand, which he travelled from end to end to pursue his hobby of fishing. He said he caught “two sharks and a cart load of trout. ’’ Ho added: “New Zealanders are mostly hospitable. I met many of my own people there and if I had accepted all the invitations to stay with the Duncan MacDonalds, Sandy MaeDougalls and Peter MacTavishes I would not be in America yet.’’ Asked if New Zealand was dry, he replied: “I’ll tell you how it is. Some places there are dry and some are wet. but the difference is that in the dry territory they get it in barrels and in the wet territory they get it in pints.’’ Sir Harry Lauder sails by the Mauretania on April 30 for Duneon, on the Clyde.
