The coroner found that Pilotman Robert Hindmarsih and Flagman Alexander Gollen were guilty of culpable negligence and committed for trial. Bail uias fixed at £SO.

Thomas Berkley, signalman at Blaxlan, was severely censured. Hindma.rsh was described as a man totally unfitted to be a pilotman. Hardly one of his duties had not been broken.
