Such of tne canb news on tms page as I Is 90 headed has appeared in ’‘The Times" and is cabled to Australia and New Zealand by special permission. It should be understood that the opinions are not those of “The Times" unless expressl* stated U be io The forthcoming Female Jersey Club sale at New Plymouth will have some good entries. Whether it is the high iodine content in the North Taranaki soil or not the fact remains that the Jersey breed seems to flourish there, Mr C. H. Weston is sending a nice line from his property on the main Wellington highway near New Plymouth. He has not sold many of his own breeding as yet, but the prefix “Meon” is beginning to finu its way into the C.O.R. lists. Peggy's Squire (Holly Bank Squire—Lady Peggy) and his herd mate Treasure's Majesty, also a Holly Bank Squire, Majesty's* Fox, Beachland's Commander bull, have given a butterfat strain to their daughters as well as a very taking conformation. Careful feeding, culling and testing inevitably show results, and buyers will not be disappointed with any purchases of Mr Weston's stock.
