SWIMMING SPORTS

JUAWJ3RA. CLUB’S CARNIVAL

Splendid entries have been received for the Haw-era Swimming Club’s, interclub carnival to be field at the municipal baths to-morrow evening, and competitors will be present from New Plymouth, Stratford, Inglewood, and. Feilding, while leading South Taranaki swimmers will participate. The programme arranged is extremely comprehensive and the introduction of novelty items, such as pillow fighting on a greasy boom and plate diving, should provide plenty of amusement. There will be tlie usual swimming races and diving for men, ladies, boys and girls. In addition there will be “widths’" races for all for turning practice,, and also an inter-dub relay race. After the carnival there will be a dance to the strains of Wills’ Orchestra at the Savoy. Patrons of carnival and dance are assured of an enjoyable evening. Al team from the club will pay a- visit toi Tnglewood on Thursday evening. }
