Lighting against tho rebels the Italian troops captured and occupied ALurzuk, giving them the command of entire inland Tripoli. Italy in 1921 abandoned Murzuk and other inland posts, limiting her 'occupation to ithe coastal areas. The reconquest of. the interior has continued gradually since 1927. In .the Murzuk lighting 4S natives were killed and 12 captured. The air force overtook and annihilated a retreating column comprising 300 camels.
