Communists acting under instructions from Moscow are endeavouring to exploit the increasing unemployed in Germany. The authorities here are alarmed by reinforcements which have arrived and streets in the working class quarters are heavily patrolled. Fifty men were arrested yesterday when a demonstration was dispersed. There has been street fighting during the past 48 hours at Worms, on the Rhine, following refusal by the police to permit a meeting of 2000 unemployed organised by Communists. Two youths were • killed and 100 injured. There have a-lso been disturbances at tli e industrial centre of Chemnitz, in Saxony, where three were killed and 15 injured.
