There they 7 will undergo a course in the elementary principles of farming, ranging from .10 to .12 weeks, after which they will be drafted out to private employment as ’opportunities present themselves.

The Army’s scheme of inducing boys to tak© up careers on tlie land is very similar to the Flock House scheme, and the present quota brings the total number brought out to Now Zealand under their scheme to 734.

A Salvation Army Officer, who met the boys on their arrival, said tli e boys appeared well, up to the average and on first appearances he was very impressed with them.
