STOLE LICENSE FEES
PROBATION FOR. INSPECTOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, Jan. 17. Archibald Gardner, assistant Sanitary inspector at Hamilton was placed on three years’ probation on 51 charges of small thefts involving £29 in the Hamilton Court to-day. " The thefts consisted of license fees which defendant had not been authorised to collect and for which he gave receipts from a. book taken from the council office.
