A Chicago report states that two bandits and on© detective were killed when a (police squad was summoned by a secret edeotric signal to> lai fashionable flat occupied by a rich sauce ge manufacturer, Harry Sucherman. Three bandits entering ihe premises attempted to force Sucherman to reveal the whereabouts of & safe containing jewels. The police, arriving upon Sucherman’s signal, shot it out uith th P burglars, .a third member of whom was captured alive. Several police were wounded.
