j EXECUTIVE ArEETING. PICNIC ARRANGEArENTS. I The executive committee of the Hawera. Scottish Society met oh Alonday evening, Chieftain J. E. Campbell presiding. Many •matters 1 of Interest to members' were fully discussed. It was decided to adhere to the previous arrangement to hold the annual picnic at Alokoia Beach on Wednesday, January 29. Committees were set tip to attend to matters of transport, igames, entertainment and general arrangements. The committee appointed previously to provide the programme for the Bums’ night celebration on January 24 reported having made good' progress, and announced that Air W. G. Simpson had consented to deliver the oration. It was decided to hold the annual meeting of the Society on March 5.
