Mr. Philip Snowden again deqnanded that the Germans should get clown to facts. M. Cheron and Mr. Snowden expressed disappointment that the German delegation had not submitted concrete proposals on the various points to be discussed. Herr Meldenhauror began by explaining the attitude of the German delegation, but Mr. Snowden curtly interrupted him: “There has been too much talk by the German delegation. This discussion lias lasted too long. Tt is intolerable. When one is plenipotentiary one should be able to settle matters without having to refer to someone else.”
This blunt hint resulted in Hqrr Curtins promising the Germans would submit the desired concrete proposals within two hours, for which he would send an under-secretary to Geneva in-str-nd of going himself. Uneasiness prevails in German quarters. in view of Dr. Sclia-cht’s expected arrival to-morrow, regarding 'he standpoint lie will adopt on the onset tied points.
