The events of the second day’s programme at the Thames Racing Club’s meeting commenced in overcast weather, which lasted till the third race, when there was a thunderstorm and heavy rain. Later the weather cleared. The attendance was good. The course was inclined to be heavy after a night’s rain and became | heavier during the afternoon. The totalisator handled £15,810 10s for the day. The total for the meeting was £32,107, a decrease of £3899 10s as compared with last year.
