EXCEEDS £2,000,000 VALUE. (By Telegraph—Press Association., WELLINGTON, Jan. 9. Permits for buildings in Wellington to the value of £2,049,486 were issued last year. Figures taken from tlie contract prices in 1928 show the value then also exceeded £2,000,000, and in 1927 the figure was just under that total. The average for the three years is a little over £2,000,000. Appearances are that this year will be equally busy if the railway station and national museum are started. Three large hotels and one theatre are also to be built.
