CANE FIELDS INUNDATED MANY STOCK PERISH. RAILWAYS SUBMERGED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 11.45 a.m. to-day. BRISBANE, Jon. 8. Continuance of the cyclonic conditions in North. Queensland during the last two days resulted in the flooding 'of several coastal rivers. Large areas of cane country are under water. The water is seven feet fiver a railway bridge crossing the Herbert River and all traffic is suspended. Mainy dead beasts are coming down the Johnstone River. Rain is continuing and the rivers are still rising.
