CYCLIST INJURED

COLLISION WITH LORRY. (By Telegraph— Association.) GISBORNE, Jan. 3. A young man, Christopher Jobson, returning from pictures at Tolaga Bay late last evening, was injured seriously when his cycle swerved in front of an overtaking lorry driven by Dave Tautau. The injured man was an inexpert cyclist and evidently became confused by the noise of the approaching lorry, which left the crown of the road to pass him, but failed to avoid a collision when Jobson also swerved. Jobson’ s condition was reported as serious to-day, and his injuries are believed to include a fractured skull and a broken arm.
