The kindly interest in the Whareroa School shown by Miss S. Fiveaish was ■happiiy acknowledged yesterday at the break-up, when the headmistress and pupils presented her with a souvenir of the ready help she had always given. M iss McCormack, in making the presentation, said that Miss Fiveashi bad 1 always shown herself a good neighbour and. bad never spared herself in time of need, and they appreciated the 'help gi veii. Miss McCarthy, of the Ara.rata. School, and heir sister leave in a. day on- two to join some friends in a* trip to Australia, where they wi’if sipon-d their holidays. The happy relations existing between the headmaster (Mr Matthews) of the Patea Public School and the pupils iure shown at the break-up on Tuesday, when the children 'presented him with a case of cutlery. The headmaster briefly acknowledged the gift, saying that they had all been a very happy family
