BEACH INSPECTOR’S BRAVERY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 11.15 twin, to-day. SYDNEY, Dec. 12. Two schoolgirls, Thelmai Iviley, aged 15, and Elvy Hamilton, aged nine, wore drowned in the surf at Thirrrtl, on the south coast. Two others in the same party were rescued at the point of exhaustion. The tragedy was relieved only by the heroism of a beach inspector, Jack Rankin, who, after rescuing two, searched fox the others. He had to be dragged forcibly from the water and needed medical attention.
